Hoteliers are committed to providing a safe environment, in alignment with expert protocols from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and regulations issued by the Greek Government.
As we enter the post COVID-19 era, the measures taken for a safe and stress-free visit are enhanced throughout all hotels. Actions include:
- Increased cleaning frequency, using appropriate disinfection products by highly trained staff
- Training of all hotel staff on how the virus is transmitted so that they are able to provide information to guests
- Complete medical kit available (including disinfectants, masks and gloves) together with floor signage, to remind guests and staff of the social distancing rules (at least 1.5m)
- Increased frequency of cleaning & sanitizing in main back of house areas
- Hand antiseptic gel dispensers placed at all hotel entrances
Although all hotels are implementing the same basic health and safety protocols, they are also keen to ensure guests enjoy their stay. To that end, some are going the extra mile and offering extra services and facilities. Here are some examples:
YES! Hotel Group encourage their guests to download, prior to arrival, their new mobile application. Through this app, guests are able to access online check in/check out, registration, digital menus, online gym bookings, room facilities, concierge services, transfers, chat, voice & video calls. Furthermore, buffet style food service is suspended and replaced by alternative service styles.
The Divani Collection have invested in ultraviolet light technology for sanitizing public spaces and increased cleaning policies for guest key cards and devices shared by associates. They have also invested in new technologies for guests to pre check-in thus avoiding lines and just visit reception to pick up their room key. Additionally, all food menus will be available to guests’ mobile phones via QA code. Sunbeds (pool & beach) will be cleaned and sanitised after every use. Food orders at the beach will be served in a sealed individual food package.
The NJV Athens Plaza is extending the operating schedule of the restaurant, for the rotating attendance of visitors. Hotel staff undergo thermal screening every morning and the property offers room service at no extra charge. The hotel has developed an action plan and individual protocols for each department, to prevent but also manage suspected Covid-19 cases in order to limit spread of the virus to staff and guests. According to the plan, the hotel’s management has appointed a health coordinator to ensure protocols are followed and has appointed a doctor on call who will act on the instructions of EODY for testing suspected cases of Covid-19.
We are at our clients’ and partners’ disposal to answer any questions and look forward to welcoming our guests back to Greece!
